ASUS Sets 10 World Records with OC Intel Xeon 698X Processor for Workstation | Intel Technology

SkatterBencher overclocks Intel Granite Rapids at a pre-launch gathering with ASUS, ElmorLabs, and Intel in Taipei, Taiwan.
Intel Xeon 600 Processors for Workstation codenamed Granite Rapids present new opportunities for extreme overclocking records. Talking Tech goes behind the scenes at an exclusive event in Taipei where ASUS assembled an all-star team of elite overclockers to pursue higher performance with our latest workstation processor. Learn about the unique challenges associated with overclocking a processor with up to 86 cores and how its eight-channel memory controller is suited to specific records. We also hear from some of the world’s best overclockers on how they got into the world of LN2-fueled performance, tips for system setup, and what it feels like to break a world record.
As opposed to the previous collaborations where we overclocked the Core i9-13900K to 9 GHz and Core i9-14900KF to 9.04 GHz, I spent all my time overclocking the new Intel “Granite Rapids” Xeon 678X using regular water cooling. The SkatterBencher guide is ready but we’ll have to wait a little bit longer before I can publish it.

In the video, you get to hear me talk a bit about my overclocking journey from when I started, competed in global overclocking tournaments, and eventually was part of the team that hit 9 GHz for the first time.
But the most interesting part of the video is hearing from the extreme overclockers like CENS, Blackdot, Elmor, and Shamino talking about setting benchmark performance world records using the new Granite Rapids platform. Furthermore, we get to hear from Intel’s Chief OC Architect Dan and OC Engineering Lead Rodney on what the platform offers for performance enthusiasts.
Here are some highlight screen captures from the video:
